Cambodia is situated in southeast Asia bordering Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam. From a total population of 15 million about 60% live by agriculture.
Cambodia is one of the most vulnerable countries in the world when it comes to climate change. This is due to a combination of great climatic deviations and a poor degree of climate adaptation among farmers.
Especially women and ethnic minorities are vulnerable. CARE provides these groups with improved knowledge on weather conditions and climate change. This enables them to plan their farming schedules and ensure food for themselves and their families.
